An absolutely beautiful place to relax and appreciate nature, as well as great fishing. The cabins are faultless and equipped with everything you need. Luxury in every room and the hot tub is divine. Many holidays there already with many more to come.

High quality lodges with hot tubs in lovely peaceful location with good fishing

We stayed here on a short break and would thoroughly recommend the lodge we had which was called 'Poppy'. It was a luxury one bedroom wooden lodge with its own indoor sauna room and hot tub on the veranda outside. Superbly equipped, very warm and comfortable and if you are interested in fishing then that can be done from the veranda. There are a number of 5* and 4* lodges on the site but we felt that Poppy was the best of all of them. It is positioned slightly away from the others in a lovely sunny spot. We would thoroughly recommend this place and are looking to stay there again in the coming year.

“Wow Wow Wow”

What can I we say , we stayed in the BRAMBLE LODGE from the 6th - 10th of November . The lodge is spotless, amazing large bedroom with ample storage , out of this world bathroom with a double rainfall shower a huge bath with a television built into the wall , the kitchen has everything you could possibly need for you’re stay the lounge has a very comfortable sofa tv dvd and stereo CD player . The decking outside with fishing platform is just brilliant hot tub is first class and private . We have stayed at plenty of these log cabins in the past but none of them come close to this one the owners have really put a lot of thought time and effort into it we loved it so much we have booked for next year and can’t wait to go.

Simply the Best!!

Stayed in Poppy lodge 7-15 June and from the moment we stepped into the lodge, we were very impressed by the location and luxury. Poppy is very spacious, has an exceptionally large bedroom with freestanding bathtub overlooking the private fishing lake, plus bathroom with beautiful sauna. It has a fully equipped kitchen and very comfortable dining and lounge areas. A lovely decking area with hot tub, sunbeds and table & chairs overlook the private fishing lake, with a jetty leading to the water. Although we do not fish, it was a delight to sit in the sun on the decking watching huge fish jumping right in front of us. The ducks and geese were also very interesting, constantly looking after their babies. Rachel and Roland work hard to ensure extremely high standards are achieved. Lots of lovely walks and interesting places to visit in the immediate area. Highly recommended.

Perfect

Our first stay at Stretton Lakes and would highly recommend the 5* lodges. Comfortable accommodation and extremely well equipped. Hubby enjoyed the private fishing and caught numerous carp ect.... I particularly enjoyed the peaceful environment and a bath in the bedroom whilst watching the TV! The lodge was impeccably clean. We visited the local area and would recommend a visit to Cambridge although an hour drive it's an amazing city. Stamford and Melton Mowbry are also a must. Looking forward to a return visit.

Quality log cabins excellent fishing

This was our second visit to Stretton lakes this time staying in the Clover cabin, as with Bramble Clover is right on the lake fishing from your veranda or the little jetty, plenty of room for the 2 of us without getting tangled up !! Although we are rank amateurs we still managed to catch fish every time we chucked in, we both caught several very good fish, carp, as well as loads of little bream, roach and perch. The log cabins are high quality in every way and the hot tub a delight especially as it gets dark as bats are flying over head. We visited the Olive branch, Jackson stops for evening meals, both less than a mile away and the Wheatsheaf at Greetham 2-3 miles away for lunch all superb.

STAY AT VICTORY COTTAGE

Victory Cottage is a beautiful thatched chocolate box cottage, set in a quiet location within Cottesmore village with countryside views to the front and village church to the rear of the cottage. Victory Cottage is 4 miles away from Stretton Lakes and 5 miles from Rutland Water. Fishing at Stretton lakes is free for Cottage guests.
