TERMS & CONDITIONS

GENERAL INFORMATION

Stretton Lakes will hereinafter be referred to as “We”. “You” refers to the customer making the booking and the members of their party.

 

1. HOW TO BOOK
1a. Please telephone 01780 410507 or email info@strettonlakes.co.uk for information.
1b. Bookings are from Friday to Friday, Monday to Monday and short breaks can be taken from Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday. Short breaks are charged at 4 nights for the same price as 3 nights.
1c. 4 Star Lodges sleep 4 persons.  There is also an additional charge of £1 a day if you require a cot. If you require a high chair there is an additional charge of £1 per day. Our 5 Star Lodges are for couples only they are not suitable for children due to its location.
1d. Once you have decided on your booking please complete the booking form on the website www.strettonlakes.co.uk or telephone 01780 410507.
1e. Provisional bookings can be made and will be held for 3 days from the date of the provisional booking. Once the 3 days have expired the booking will become a completed booking and the charges listed in Section 2 must be paid.
1f. All Special Offer Bookings must be paid in full within 2 days.

1g.When the deposit has been made for your holiday you agree to our contract and all terms included.  The name provided throughout the booking will be solely responsible for the behaviour of your party and for any breakages or damaged caused during your stay.

1h. The lead name on the booking form must be over 18 years of age.

 

2. PAYMENT

All Payments are Non Refundable and Non Transferable. Lodge bookings cannot be moved to a different date.

Stretton lakes strongly recommends that the client takes out insurance against cancellation.

2a. A deposit is required to reserve your booking. The deposit is £100 for any period of booking except Christmas and New Year. The deposit for Christmas and New Year bookings is £200.

2b. For large bookings of 6 persons or over and single sex parties an additional deposit of £150 is required. This deposit will be refunded at the end of the booking period. This deposit will be retained if complaints are received from other guests concerning noise or behaviour.

2c. The remainder of the balance is payable no later than 8 weeks prior to your arrival. Failure to make payment by this date will result in your booking being cancelled and any deposit payments made not refunded. Your final payment is also non refundable, Please take out holiday insurance to cover yourself for any eventuality.

2d. The deposit is non refundable in the event that you change your mind about the booking. (please see cancellations section 3.)

2e. Payment can be made by credit card, debit card or BACS

2f. Once the deposit, or full payment if a late booking, has been received a confirmation invoice will be sent to you. A contract will then be formed between you and Stretton Lakes. The confirmation will be sent by email or post whichever method you have requested at the time of booking.

2g. You must check the details on the confirmation invoice and notify us as soon as possible if any information is incorrect. You can telephone us on 01780 410507 or e-mail us at info@strettonlakes.co.uk.

2h. If the final payment is not received within the correct time your booking will not be confirmed. We will withhold the deposit already received to cover our administration costs.

 

3. CANCELLATIONS 

3a. Any cancellations made by the client must be in writing once the booking has been confirmed the deposit becomes non refundable, Cancellations should be notified immediately.

3b. Stretton lakes strongly recommends that the client takes out insurance against cancellation.

3c. Once you have arrived at our site we reserve the right to ask you to leave our premises in the following situations:
A. Nuisance such as noise.
B. Unacceptable/offensive behaviour towards other guests and staff.
C. Vandalism.
D. Damage/destruction to the lodge or grounds.
E. Disturbing other guests.
3d. We will not be liable to pay any compensation if we cancel your booking in accordance with section 3c

 

Our booking fee DOES NOT include holiday insurance. We therefore recommend that you take out Holiday Cancellation Insurance to cover you in the event that you have to cancel or terminate your holiday unexpectedly.

We reserve the right to terminate the agreement/booking without refund of money if the behaviour of any guest is considered unacceptable, or if the number of occupants exceeds that stated at the time of booking.

4. Force Majeure

We regret we cannot accept responsibility or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contract with you is prevented or affected by reason of circumstances which amount to force majeure. Circumstances amounting to force majeure include any event which we could not even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such circumstances include the destruction or damage of your holiday home. (which cannot reasonably be remedied to a satisfactory standard before the start of your holiday) through fire, flood explosion, storm or other weather damage(including a period of electricity failure), break-in, criminal damage or any similar event. Such circumstances also include riots or civil strife, natural or nuclear disaster, war or threat of war, actual or threatened terrorist activity and all similar situations beyond our control.

 

5. YOUR OBLIGATIONS
5a. You will take proper care of the property and its contents. The lodges should be left in a clean and tidy manner as they were when you arrived. We reserve the right to issue an additional charge (to the person who made the booking) of up to £50.00 for lodges left in a poor state on departure.  If you have any queries concerning the state of the lodge on your arrival please contact

5b. Breakages / damage must be reported to us and made good or paid for if appropriate.
5c. All lodges and Hot Tubs are strictly No Smoking. Smoking is permitted on the veranda and the outside areas of the facility.
5d. Children are welcome in 4 star lodges only, and must be supervised at all times, extra care must be taken with toddlers and young children due to the deep water nearby.
5e. No additional visitors are to stay overnight without our permission.
5f. No pets are permitted on the site except for guide dogs.
5g. Please contact us if you are intending to arrive after 9pm
5h. Lodges must be vacated by 10.00am, on the day of departure. Lodges can be occupied from 2.30pm on the day of arrival.
5i. All fixtures and fittings and equipment must be used solely for their intended purpose. No Furniture, bedding, plates or cutlery are to be moved from or between lodges.

  • BBQ’s and patio furniture will be available free of charge from April 1st to October 31st. Please note we do not provide fuel and would request that the BBQ is left as it is found.
  • BBQ’s are used at your own risk.
  • Place all litter/rubbish in the bins provided; please help us with our recycling by separating your waste.

You must not take into the lodges any lighting equipment, barbecues, or any items that may cause danger to the lodges, its equipment or occupants.
5j. You are responsible for arranging your insurance cover.
5k. If you will be arriving at the Lodge after 9.00pm on the date of arrival you must telephone 01780 410507 to arrange for collection of the keys.

 

6. OUR OBLIGATIONS
6a. We will make all endeavours to ensure that all advertised facilities are available on your arrival. But we cannot guarantee the hot tub temperature due to water renewal as the hot tub water is replaced on a regular basis.
6b. If for any reason a facility is not available you will be advised and offered an alternative if this is possible.
6c. We provide all bed linen, towels, and bathrobes for use during your stay at no extra charge.  For bookings of more than one week the linen and towels will be changed at the end of each week.
6d. We provide electricity, water and gas at no extra charge.
6e. We reserve the right to enter your lodge at any reasonable time, giving reasonable notice, to make an inspection, carry out repairs or carry out maintenance.
6f. We accept no liability for any accident, loss, death or damage to you or your property unless such loss, death, damage or accident is due to our negligence or the negligence of our employees.

 

7. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
7a. We endeavour to ensure everything is to your satisfaction during your stay, should there be any cause for complaint during the occupation of the lodge, it must be notified promptly to the management. 7b. This Contract is subject to the laws of England and Wales and the jurisdiction of the English courts. YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS ARE NOT AFFECTED
